Longblaster[]

"Longblaster" was a catchall phrase used to denote any model of blaster rifle manufactured with a long barrel to improve accuracy. The ones that had automatic selective firing settings could only attain rates of fire of about 3 shots per second. This was due to the sensetive energy accelerators located in the barrel. Shorter rifles and carbines such as the infamous E-11 and DC-15S blaster had shorter barrels designed for mobility and portability, with less sensitive accelerators. Well-known examples of the type include the Blastech A-280, DC-15A, DLT-19, and DLT-20A models.
